Where to Find the Actual Answers
For any AI tool you use, the answers you need are in these places: the privacy policy page, the terms of service, and if available, an FAQ section titled "How We Use Your Data" or an enterprise data processing addendum. These documents are long and written for legal purposes, not readability. You don't need to read them all. You need to answer four specific questions:
Does my data train the model? How long is it retained? Who has access to it? Can I delete it?
These four questions cover most of what matters for your personal decision-making. If you can answer these four things about every AI tool you use regularly, you have the information you need.
