Lesson 3: Where AI Fits

A Real-World Example

Let's say you run a small business and get customer emails every day. Some are orders, some are returns, some are questions.

Old way: You read each email, decide what it is, and forward it to the relevant person. Takes 15 minutes a day.

Workflow way: 1. Email arrives (trigger) 2. AI reads the email and classifies it as "order," "return," or "question" (transformer) 3. Route it to the right folder and notify the right person (actions based on the classification)

Now data flows: email → classification → routing → notification. AI isn't deciding if the customer is happy or what they really want. It's just reading the surface and categorizing it. Much simpler than it sounds. And after you set it up once, it's free.

That's the shift. That's where the time savings come from.
