The Fundamental Shift

There's a big difference between these two things:

Using AI (old way): You open ChatGPT. You type a question or request. You wait for a response. You read it. You copy it somewhere. You maybe tweak it. Done.

AI in a workflow (new way): Data arrives. The system automatically feeds it to an AI model. The AI transforms it or classifies it or generates something. The output flows to the next step automatically. You never touched it.

The first one feels like you're chatting with a smart friend. The second one feels like your system is doing work without you.

This is the shift this course is about.

When you embed AI in a workflow, it's not a chat partner anymore. It's a step. A step that happens automatically, receives specific input, and produces specific output. Like an email filter, or a calculator, or a database query. It's infrastructure.
