On its own this is a reference. Its real job is to keep something else true: when a law here changes, every trust profile that cites it flags for re-verification. That is what makes a profile a live claim rather than a PDF with a date on it.

Every entry carries a link to its primary source — the statute, the regulation, the agency document — and the date we last read that source. Not a secondary summary, and not a date we refreshed automatically.
Entries are re-checked on a cadence set by how fast they can change, not by how important they are:
When an entry passes its window, this site says so on the entry itself rather than letting an old date read as a current one. If you see Re-verification due, the fact may well still be right — we just haven't re-read the source, and we would rather tell you that than not.
We publish corrections the same way. In August 2026 this tracker carried entries for state AI laws that did not exist; they were removed, and the checks that would have caught them were built into the publishing process.
