The Two Tracks of This Course
Because both Make and n8n are genuinely good paths, this course has two parallel tracks.
If you choose Make: - You'll move fast. Powerful workflows in hours, not days. - You'll focus on the patterns of automation without server management distracting you. - You'll have a generous free tier to experiment. - When you hit the limits of Make (which takes a while), you'll know what you want to build next.
If you choose n8n: - You'll have full control and ownership of your data. - You'll encounter slightly more friction in setup (but it's one-time). - You'll learn a system that scales into custom agents and coding without jumping platforms. - You'll join a smaller, more technical community. - You'll understand how automation platforms actually work under the hood.
Which should you choose?
Ask yourself: - Do I want to move fastest and not think about servers? Make. - Do I want to own my data and think I might code eventually? n8n. - Am I uncertain? Make. You can always migrate later. - Do I have a technical co-founder or team member? n8n. Especially if you're sharing workflows.
Both choices are right. Neither is a mistake. They just take slightly different paths up the same mountain.
