Lesson 3: Actions and Modules

The Workflow Canvas

Once you've added a trigger and actions, you'll see them on a canvas connected by lines. This is the visual representation of your workflow.

In Make: Boxes are arranged vertically (top to bottom), with connecting lines showing data flow. You can click any box to edit its configuration.

In n8n: Nodes are arranged on a canvas that you can pan and zoom. Connectors between nodes show which outputs feed into which inputs.

The canvas is your blueprint. You can see the whole workflow at a glance. If something looks wrong, you can click any step and inspect its configuration.
